The MOBAK Grant provides a one-time grant of up to $5,000ttd to assist a young adult aged 18 to 29 years old achieve their dream. The grant will be awarded to an individual seeking funding based on a request that falls under 1 of the 4 reasons:
1. Assistance to start, build, expand or restart their own business.
2. Assistance to cover a school related expense that is not covered or available by GATE funding or any other funding or scholarship.
3. Assistance to cover a short-termed/unexpected living expense i.e. emergency rent, moving expense
4. Assistance to help cover a sport-related expense including equipment, airfare or training course
Application Rules
• An applicant can only receive a grant once every 12 months.
• Grants must be used for the designated expense
Persons must request the grant Application Form through by:
a) Sending an email to admin@mobakfoundation.com requesting an Application Form for the grant
b) Sending a message via direct messenger through one of the Social Media links of the Foundation
Applications must be submitted no later than 4:00pm on the 25th of the month preceding the grant. i.e. Grants requested for July,2020 MUST be received no later than June 25th, 2020
Funding:
Funds must be used for the purposes designated or it will have to be returned.
Note that this is a grant and NOT a loan so the only repayment expected from the recipient is a picture for the files of the Foundation and a Thank You.
MOBAK FOUNDATION is committed to providing strong programming, life skills training and supports, to assist youth faced with adversity and various forms of discrimination, overcome all barriers, including social isolation, low income, low academic achievement, homelessness that place them at greater risk to may be or are already being at conflict with the law.
